Now is the time to stop and rethink your online habits

According to new research from The Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia, (COSBOA) bad habits may be a leading factor in the losses.


COSBOA’s latest Cyber Wardens survey reveals that 78 per cent of small-business owners engage in practices that increase vulnerability to cyber threats. 

Key findings include using ‘sleep mode’ for computers (27 per cent), reusing passwords (26 per cent), deleting suspicious emails without reporting (21 per cent), password sharing (20 per cent), and delaying software updates (18 per cent).


So if you haven’t spruced up your cyber security response in the last year, now could be a good time to hit reset. Change up your passwords and start practicing better cyber hygiene.
